Merced Avenue Linear Park
The City of El Monte has completed the Merced Avenue Linear Park, a green space in the median between Towneway Drive and Garvey Avenue. It adds safe, comfortable room for walking, running, and cycling, with landscaping, play areas, and seating for the whole community.

The Merced Avenue Stormwater Capture Project will connect the park to the Rio Hondo Bike Path with a new bike and walking route. An underground drainage system and native landscaping will capture and filter stormwater, improving water quality and creating a greener, healthier corridor.
